I just made this
flash animation as a start to the KLOMP site. Klomp, named after the famous
wooden shoe.
Klomp is one of
the hottest student residences in Velp.
This is mainly
because of the bonfires we used to have.
It will soon become
a site to share recipes.
So don't forget to read between the lines...
Including tips on how to get rid of unwanted odors.
This is a disign I made for the new WTC in New York.
I had a dream in 1998 regarding an explosion of some sort. I was
in a big city and I looked up at two tall buildings. All I remember is
a bright object, I thought was the moon, fell on the buildings and caused
a tremendous explosion. Chunks of rubble flying everywhere and then I
suddenly woke up. In my head I predicted the end of the world. In retrospect
I realize it already happend and it's not nearly the end of life, but
it had a huge impact on life as we knew it...
The design shows the twins hugging each other not out of fear but as the
best defense. To stand tall, we must stand together, united, representing
one nation. The building should be exactly the same material and detailing
on the outside as the original twins to remind us of what once was. The
ground floor is a public space with a fountain representing new life and
a memorial square is built lower than the street to remind us of the depth
it took us all to before we looked to the skies, where an outdoor terrace
joins both buildings, reuniting us.
I first took interest
in graphic design during my year as a representative at the student union
Aboricultura. That's where most of the work on this page is from. After
a year of being a representative I got involved in the PR commission and
became the president of the Film commission. Other graphic work of mine
has been and still is promotion of plans and projects as well as websites.
